It has the same chemical composition and mineral composition as rhyolite, and it is a semi-pluthic rock that contains quartz and feldspar semicrystals in a microcrystalline stone tool. They are usually very bright in color, and their color varies depending on the vitreous content. Occasionally, coniferous tissue is seen. It is produced by lava or rock veins on the continents or in the mid-mountain belt.
