It is a neutral volcanic rock with amorphous or porphyritic texture. The mineral combination is mainly plagioclase and includes pyroxene or hornblende. Plagioclase and pyroxene appear as phenocrysts, and the stone tools are usually composed of pyroxene, sphagnum moss, plagioclase, magnetite, and glass. It is greenish blue or greenish black in color.
