Rhyolite tuffs contain pumiceous, glassy fragments and small scoriae with quartz, alkali feldspar, biotite, etc. Rhyolitic tuffs are among the most voluminous of continental igneous rock formations. Rhyolitic tuff has been extensively used for construction.
