The hornfels originating from heterogeneous sedimentary rocks are mainly composed of biotite, andalusite, cordierite, and orthoclase minerals. The hornfels originating from basic igneous rocks are mainly composed of plagioclase, hornblende, and diopside minerals. Andalusite is a characteristic feature.
