The many Ordovician shallower-water limestones (Naungkangyi Group in Myanmar, Thung Song Limestone in Thailand and Kaki Bukit Limestone in western Malaysia) are particularly thick and of warm-water origin, and the relatively few fossils they contain are mostly low-diversity benthic faunas of brachiopods with a few trilobites, molluscs and other invertebrates.
