Paleontology (Fossil)
These corals survived the Ordovician-Permian period of the Paleozoic Era, many of which live independently, but there are also some species that live in colonies. The septa observed in the cross section are well developed. The arrangement of the septa is symmetrical or radial, and the number is multiple of 5, so it is called an orthorhombic coral. It is produced in the upper Ordovician Xiazhen Formation.
