Taw Ma area, Kyaukse Township.
Igneous rocks in the area are exposed on the western side of the Sagaing Fault. They include pyroxenite, serpentinized peridotite, serpentinite, dolerite, plagiogranite and pillowed basalt in close association with greywacke, bedded red chert and siliceous limestone, and are regarded as a deformed and dismembered ophiolitic suite. The ophiolitic rocks were later intruded by quartz diorite and hornblende granodiorite.
