It is a plant fossil belonging to the fern genus and is a plant that flourished from the Carboniferous to the Permian period of the Paleozoic Era. In this specimen, distinct nodes are observed on the stem. It is well known that needle-shaped leaves turn at each node. It is commonly found in sedimentary layers from the late Paleozoic Era and is one of the source plants that formed thick coal layers.
