Metamorphic rocks are found at Katha (Triassic Katha metamorphics). Greenschist facies rocks occur in the south, amphibolite schists are present in the Indawgyi area in the middle COB, and high-pressure glaucophane schists are found in the Jade Mines area in the north (Thet Tin Nyunt et al. 2017). Gold-sulphide-bearing quartz vein, EW– ENE direction also occurs in Katha metamorphic (graphite schist, mica schist, chlorite schist)
