Granite porphyry
I-049
Rock
igneous rock
The mineral composition is similar to granite, but while granite shows a coarse-grained and equigranular texture, granite porphyry shows a porphyritic texture. Quartz and feldspar are included as coarse-grained phenocrysts, and medium-grained to fine-grained stone tools exist around them. The structure is mainly a massive structure, but it also shows a flow structure. Also, a zonal structure may appear due to crystal differentiation when the rock is formed.
