Rock
igneous rock
It is a neutral diagenetic rock with a SiO2 content of 60-65% and mainly composed of quartz, plagioclase, potassium feldspar, and biotite. It contains much more plagioclase than K-feldspar, and the content of K-feldspar accounts for 1/3 to 1/8 of the total feldspar. Diorite containing more than 10% of orthoclase is called granodiorite, and granodiorite characterized by biotite is called biotite granodiorite.
