The N yaung baw formation, widely distributed in Pyin Oo Lwin township, consist of limestone which are medium to thick bedded, red, chocolate - brown passing pupple in color, Interbedded with the limestones are subordinate bands of red clay. Correlated with the Linwe formation (Southern Shan state)
