"In Northern Shan State Cambrian rocks overlie the Chaung Magyi Group with an angular unconformity. The Cambrian deposits include sandstones and quartzites of the Pangyun Formation, frequently cross-bedded, with shale intercalations, dolomite and rhyolitic tuffs and volcaniclastics which pass into the contemporaneous Bawdwin Volcanic Formation (Gardiner et al. 2017)."
